Three Times- A Poem

Like Paul, some of us have thorns in our flesh that can not or will not come out. God decides not to take it away but to use it. This is for you.

Three Times

Three Times I asked you my Lord, To take this thorn from me,
And oh so gently you whispered to my heart, “My grace is sufficient for thee.”

“Perhaps you do not understand how much it would set me free”,
Still you gently prodded, “My grace is sufficient for thee.”

I felt despairing and out of control, how could you let me be?
Yet Your still small voice spoke to my heart, “Trust me, for my grace is sufficient for thee.”

I purposed to be still, and prayed that I would see, I heard you say, “My power is made perfect in your weakness, My grace is sufficient for thee.”

In my weakness You are made strong, You can use this thorn in me,
Oh My Savior, Thank you, Your grace is sufficient for me.

Good reminder. I so often pray for the circumstance to change to my liking instead to seeing it as a growth process for me or someone else. “My grace is sufficient”

Beautiful. Truly a good reminder to each and everyone of us. His grace is sufficient for all who allow it to be.
