Safe and sound. We’re busy taking a crash course on base maintenance as this morning is the only time that we have with Vera and Basil on the base. So far we’ve learned to purify water, reset the solar power system and the phone system, feed the parrot and dogs and cats, pay the staff, maintain the icemaker and chillers. Next is pumping water into the tanks, maintaining the batteries, changing out the butane tanks, and it goes on and on from there.
And this is just the stuff we have to do to make sure that everyone stays alive. Then we get to learn about the projects we’re working on :). Don’t have time for more right now….will write more later.
Hang in there! This is all important stuff.
Blessings,
Kay
Melissa,
Dont forget to wash all the pots and pans. Get it?
Matt
Wow! Quite an initiation—you won’t be bored! We are so thankful to hear of your safe arrival. We’ll “stay tuned.” 🙂
Hey girl! Glad to hear you arrived safely!!!
Keep up the good work.
Mel–how are you doing in the heat? Make sure you’re resting enough.
Mary
Mary- The heat is ok, my feet are just a little swollen by the end of the day. I try to keep them up as much as possible. I’m finding I don’t have as much sustainable energy as I used too. But I so happy to be here.
Yah a girl!! We’re back from our road trip without any problems-PTL! Glad to hear you’ve arrived safe and sound! I’m glad Vera and Basil were able to be there at least one day…hope you took notes! Hang in there! We’ll be keeping you both in our prayers!
