Hey everyone! Let me tell you a little about Saturday. We went around to about four more stores in Belize City before heading to the base. Note: Everything that we purchased in the past two days could have been accomplished with one trip to Wal-mart and Lowes. After eating a lunch consisting of fried chicken with ketchup poured on it we headed out on the boat down the canals of Belize. AND THEN IT HAPPENED: A rainstorm. Picture this: We are out in the middle of the Belizean jungle, nowhere to pull over, no shelter on the boat, sheets of rain coming down on us, John, Vera and I huddled together to keep warm. After 20 minutes the rain slowed to a light drizzle and the sun came out. What an adventure we had. Working for the Lord is NEVER boring. Even though it was cold and wet it was exciting!
Today is Sunday and we woke to pounding rain on our rooftop. I prayed that it would stop so that we could make it into the village for the church. Around the time we needed to leave the rain stopped and the sun came out. We were able to go to Sunday school and teach the cutest kids. Well, more later it’s time to go to sleep. If you have any questions just ask.
We are so thankful for the Lord’s protection. Keep posting, we are continually checking for news. Love—
We have been keeping up with your adventures every day. It is nice to have been there so that I can picture in my mind exactly what you are talking about. We got soaked on the boat ride and it wasn’t even raining! Aren’t you glad we put the projector equipment in plastic bags. Say hello to everyone for me, especially Basil, Vera, and Carol. We are praying for you.
We did have one tarp on the boat that covered most of our stuff, but everything was still damp because the downpour was so torrential, it found ways to get through. The projector and screen both came through spectacularly, so praise the Lord for that.
