We had a wonderful time with Emmanuel Baptist church. They finished the house they funded to build and had a great excursion to Caye Caulker.
There was only a two day break between Emmanuel and the next team from Springbrook Community Church in Huntley IL. This is our largest team to date: Forty people. Everything was going fairly smoothly and all at once things started to go wrong. The truck broke down, the road is flooded, we are short one person (Basil) because of the truck. So John and I are handling the team here while Basil is out of town. Things are a little crazy and stressful right now.
Will you please pray for us right now at your computer. Pray that the truck will be fixed, the rain will be minimal, the team patient, That John and I will be patient with the team and with each other, that God will grant us grace and that we will see Him work in a mighty way today, and that Basil will be able to get back to the base tonight. Thank you so much prayer warriors!
I’m praying right now, and will be praying through out the the day. Love You

“For I determined to know nothing among you except Jusus Christ, and Him crucified. And I was with you in WEAKNESS AND FEAR AND IN MUCH TREMBLING. …that your faith should not rest on the wisdom of men, but on the POWER OF GOD.” I Cor. 2:2,3, &
When we are weak God’s strength is magnified. When we are helpless, He is strong on our behalf and He is glorified. Praying that Jesus Christ will be glorified as he answers prayers that are going up on your behalf. “He must increase, but I must decrease.”
prayed and will continue through out the day! You are amazing!
Prayers keep on coming your way. Peace to all of you.
It’s times like these that test our trust in the Lord. Give your burdens to Him and He will carry you through this stressful time. You are always in our prayers. Much love to you all! XO
You know, I have to tell you something. I did not realize Basil was supposed to be there. We showed up, you were there, and I just assumed you were leading the effort.
I know things might not have been going according to our plans, but they clearly were going according to God’s (that happens to me all the time; it’s a little uncomfortable, but always seems to work out). You and Mel did a FANTASTIC job, and I can not imagine having had a better experience.
God clearly answered your prayer from my perspective. It is really neat for me to have been able to find this post, looking back on our experience together, and see where God was even more powerfully at work than I even imagined!
Looking forward to my next visit!
