We arrived in Washington safely. Thanks to Southwest airlines, we had a marvelous flight (we even got bulk head seats). We retrieved our ridiculously priced rental car ( No thanks to airport taxes), and headed to Enumclaw, our “home away from home”. Unfortunately when we arrived at the Glazes, Maxine told us that her Husband (soon to be 90) had suffered a massive heart attack the day before and we would not be able to stay with her. We feel very sad about this. Jack is in stable condition right now and we’ll keep you posted on his health. Maxine was so sweet and already set us up to stay with her friends who live in Renton, and she prayed with us before we left. She ministered to us when she was in pain, she is truly a servant of the Lord. Please keep her and Jack in your prayers. So here we are in Renton, WA staying with the Sires, a very sweet Christian couple. They have made our transition and stay very pleasant. We are blessed.
Today we went to a church named “Our Saviors Baptist Church”. We only had enough time to show our DVD, but it did a wonderful job communicating our desire to serve in Belize (shout out to Matt in the BGC office for hooking us up with a great DVD). We had a lot of interest, and we are looking forward to meeting the head of the missions committee some time later this week . Please continue to pray for us as we continue to meet with churches. We can’t do this without you. Thanks for praying! We love you all!
Way to go! Hope you’re feeling well, Mel 🙂
Thanks for the update! Praying for you guys!
