What a wonderful vacation we had! It was a very Merry Christmas and a happy New Year. John and I were able to spend time with both sides of our family. We enjoyed every minute of it. Even then, I did not see everyone I wanted to see in Maryland. Oh well, next trip.
Our trip was very bitter sweet as we hope that this is our last Christmas in the states for a little while. I looked at my family members through different eyes, and cried as we pulled out of the driveway to return to South Carolina. I feel the weight of all that we are about to commit to. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not a burden. This is more like a precious treasure that God has given to us, we love to have it, but the responsibility is great.
John and I are in full deputation mode. He has changed from salary to hourly with his company and I am going to get less hours at work. This is all so we can be more mobile and leave to visit churches at the drop of a hat if we need to. Please pray for us, as these changes happen. Please pray that God will grant John and I wisdom beyond our years so that we may be able to make wise decisions. Pray that God will prepare the hearts of the churches and individuals that we will talk to in the coming months, that they might capture the vision God has given us, and with God’s grace, lend their support.
With God’s grace and if he wills, we are resolved to be in Belize during the year of 2008. What an adventure this will be!!!!
I love you!!! It was so nice to see you guys.
