The dime tour

I appreciate your prayers during my recent trip to Belize. The purpose of the trip was to spend some time with our new regional director and introduce him to the ministry we have in Gale’s Point. We spent time touring the village and the mission base and introducing him to the staff. We also had a lot of good discussions about how we do missions, the short term missions explosion and its effects, how to make the best use of the time we have with the short-termers who come through our doors, effective missions mobilization, effective church planting, dreams and visions for our ministry there, etc.

It was a short trip, but I think very profitable. I feel like we have a stronger relationship with him and he has a better understanding of our ministry. That should lead to more effective support from our organization.

For those who haven’t noticed yet, we’ve ticked up to 50% support, so we’ve reached the top of the hump and it’s all down hill from here :). Err…that may be an exaggeration, but nevertheless, we feel blessed to have reached that milestone and hopefully we’ll see a couple more ticks upward in the near future.

It was so good to have both of you down here! I’m glad you got back okay, I was worried that you’d get horribly delayed.

I did get delayed in Dallas…flight didn’t arrive in Phoenix until after 1am 🙁
