Yesterday was filled with filming. I filmed the Cornerstone team helping students read, the school, the womens bible study, and the new church choir. So much is the same from the past two times I’ve been here, but so much is different too. In a good way.
The Cornerstone team is doing a great job. They are really taking the ball and running with it. It’s been nice getting to know them.
I’ve also been getting to know the new staff here at the Belize Mission and retreat. Mandy, the teacher and choir director is full of questions and knowledge, and always wants to learn. It’s very refreshing. She is a teacher here for a year and a half. Don and Sarah are also a breath of fresh air here at the base. They have really fixed up the grounds. Not to mention, they are so very sweet. They are leaving in April and will hopefully come back. Jude is here until August, and he has such a heart for the men in the village.
The way is being paved for John and I to come here. God is preparing the base and the village and our hearts. I can tell that God has a perfect time set up for John and I to come to serve. I don’t know when that is, but I think the time is drawing near. Maybe not in three months, maybe not in seven, maybe not in a year, but soon. And maybe so. Who knows? I just know, it’s soon. Even then then, not our will Lord, but Thine be done.
I’m so glad things are going well, and that you have had the opportunity to meet other “team members.” Isn’t it interesting the way the Lord moves the members of His body from place to place, in His timing, to work together to do His will?
Hi Mel, it has been great to catch up on what is going on in Belize and with you. Sounds like you have had quite the adventure! Praise the Lord that you are safe. How is your thumb? Hope it is feeling better. We invited John to come over for dinner tomorrow night. Sounds like he probably will.
Talk to you soon.
