Belize, So Close, Yet so Far.

Every day I wake up one of the first things that I think about is Belize. I get sad. John and I REALLY want to be there so bad. We want to start our lives in the country that God has called us to. Then, I look at the task that lies ahead. We still have to raise a little less than 50%. Discouragement. That’s what I feel. I know the devil wants to use that and I can’t let him, I just can’t!

When will we get there? Why is our country in a recession now? Why does this process seem to take forever? The human side of me is confused. I know I have to wait patiently on the Lord. I know that His timing is best. God is still teaching us and still preparing us for ministry in Belize. Maybe there is a lesson in all this that we have to learn before getting there that will be crucial to our ministry. I better listen to God more intently then.

God will get us there, but he is the author of our time, and we have to wait on the Lord. Wait for Him to use us and let Him be glorified through us.

Hey kids, I was just on your blog, saw no entries since the last one stating you were half way there. Then I went to my email and there was a new blog. You are right Mel, you need to wait on the Lord as do Basil and I. We are just as anxious as the two of you to have you here helping us. We must all be learning new lessons. God is never done teaching us, until He brings us home to Him. Then we will realize we have accomplished what He has called us to do.

Don’t we all wonder just how long we have here, how much we have to learn and what are those lessons, it’s like opening a gift, we don’t know what’s in it, but it is exciting to wait with anticipation until we find out what the gift beholds for us. So let’s wait with anticipation till we see what God has for us to behold!!! In the meantime, we Praise Him for all He is doing! Love you 3, Ma

Yes, God is still preparing you for what lies ahead, but “lift up your eyes and look on the fields” that are white unto harvest in Chandler. Perhaps the Lord has a ministry for you there right now. 🙂

    Remember Jeremiah 29:11

“For I know the plans I have for you, plans for good and not for evil; plans to give you a future and a hope!”

You are human to get discouraged and impatient and I love you for admitting it.
