Today was Cornerstone’s (church we are visiting) “Second Saturday” outreach. They rented five van’s and had different locations for us to go to. 120 people showed up for this event at the church. We could choose to go to six different ministry sites ranging from a homeless shelter to construction. John and I chose to go to the Habitat for Humanity resale store. They are building a new store and they needed a group of us to help put shelves together. It was a lot of fun and very rewarding. Below is a picture of our group.
Tomorrow we are in for a full day of church. They have Sunday school and regular service, and then we might go to the Hispanic service that the church just started. We are very tired but very thrilled to be here. BTW Phoenix is beautiful, and the weather is awesome!
