Errand Day

Since I arrived, it has seemed like I’ve had to run an errand every day. I am the type of person that gets easily distracted. A simple errand turns into being a big interuption in my day, and as a result, I am not productive.

I decided to combat this with an appointed “errand day.” Every Wednesday I will go to the grocery store, bank, post office, etc.; going to the store everyday is no more. I tried “errand day” for the first time on Wednesday. I was tired at the end of the day, but I’ve been able to stay home and be productive for the rest of the week.

We have a busy weekend. Today we will be preparing for tomorrow. Tomorrow we are doing community service projects with our church and the Shucks are having two cookouts at the house. So it should be an eventful day. I’ll tell you all about it when it’s over.

I hear you! Errands eat up my days, too. I try to combine as many as possible in one trip, but if I don’t make a list, sometimes I forget things. But “errand day” is a good way to save time and gas! (And not having air conditioning in the jeep makes it an even better idea!) 🙂
