Count Your Blessings Name them One by One

1) We had a wonderful time in Chicago in training. I was very tired but it was worth it to see the staff in the Converge office and fellow missionaries.

2) Our support continues to rise! Every time we feel like we are in a dry spell, the Lord provides.

3) The church visit to Horizons Community Church in Peoria, AZ went very well. We are so glad to have them as a partners.

4) PRAISE THE LORD WE HAVE A CAR!!!! We’ve been looking for a car besides the jeep for when the baby arrives. A couple in our Small Church group will either 1) let us borrow it until we leave or 2) Sell it to us for very cheap. AMEN! Lot’s of prayer has gone into this.

5) Thanksgiving will be spent with a lovely family here in AZ with a Southern Grandma doing the cooking. YUMMY.

6) John’s brother Dave will be here in less than a week to celebrate Thanksgiving with us. We were hoping for a least one family member to celebrate this holiday with.

7) We have AWESOME friends. Not only have many people opened their arms to us and welcomed us to be a part of their families but two of my friends threw me a lovely baby shower. Below are pictures.

8) The baby is healthy and almost here.

9) I am healthy and getting ready for birth. I have anemia but this is a small and very common complication. I’m taking iron pills and doing well.

10) The Lord has done great things for us and we are filled with JOY!

I know I’ve posted this before on here. But we could all use a reminder (Pictures are below this, click on pics to make them larger.):

When upon life’s billows you are tempest tossed,
When you are discouraged, thinking all is lost,
Count your many blessings, name them one by one,
And it will surprise you what the Lord hath done.

Count your blessings, name them one by one,
Count your blessings, see what God hath done!
Count your blessings, name them one by one,
And it will surprise you what the Lord hath done.

Are you ever burdened with a load of care?
Does the cross seem heavy you are called to bear?
Count your many blessings, every doubt will fly,
And you will keep singing as the days go by.

When you look at others with their lands and gold,
Think that Christ has promised you His wealth untold;
Count your many blessings. Wealth can never buy
Your reward in heaven, nor your home on high.

So, amid the conflict whether great or small,
Do not be disheartened, God is over all;
Count your many blessings, angels will attend,
Help and comfort give you to your journey’s end.

    Praise God from whom all blessings flow! How we thank Him for His faithfulness and loving care for all of our family. And how blessed we are as we anticipate the addition of a new little one to our family. The car is definitely an answer to prayer. “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you.” Love, Mom & Dad
